Meet the Board

President

Jennifer Anitus

Serving as this year’s President for Crowns Executive Board is Jennifer Anitus. Jennifer is currently a commuting sophomore at Wentworth Institute of Technology, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Engineering and minoring in Manufacturing Engineering. Jennifer was born and raised in Boston, MA. While attending Wentworth, Jennifer found the need to increase a supportive community for women of diverse backgrounds and founded Crowns to appeal to those within her community seeking the same environment. Within Crowns, Jennifer has worked towards organizing engaging activities in support of Crowns’ mission. In addition to Crowns, Jennifer is also involved in WIT’s National Society of Black Engineers and works towards supporting the Center of Community Learning and Partnership as a part-time Office Assistant during the school year and a Program Coordinator for their summer program “RAMP”. Her passions for community building and innovation are displayed as she continues to highlight and intertwine community service events with interactive socials. We are ecstatic to have Jennifer as this year’s President and look forward towards an amazing year with the 2019-2020 Executive & Advisory Board.

Treasurer

Renesa Burke

Serving as this years Treasurer for Crowns Executive-Board is Renesa Burke. Renesa is a sophomore attending Wentworth Institute of Technology, obtaining a Bachelors in Civil Engineering . Renesa is from Boston, MA and commutes to campus. Within Crowns Renesa has worked towards generating funds, brainstorming events, and finding exceptional volunteer opportunities. In addition to Crowns, Renesa has also been an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers. Renesa’s rigorous academic efforts have allowed her to be on the Dean’s List and helped her obtain an internship with Turner Construction Company as a freshman. Her passion for mentorship is also displayed in Crowns as she makes it a pivotal point for members to understand that to truly flourish and grow they must share their knowledge amongst each other as well as to those around them. We are ecstatic to have Renesa as this year's treasurer and look forward towards an amazing year with the 2019-2020 Executive & Advisory Board

Public Relations Official

Alexandria Wright

Serving as this years Public Relations Office for Crowns Executive-Board is Alexandria Wright. Alex is a senior at Wentworth Institute of Technology, obtaining a Bachelors in Business Management focused in Entrepreneurship. Alex is from Charlotte, NC but been a Massachusetts resident for 9 years. Within Crowns Alex has worked on creating and implementing the fall launch marking strategy, produced photoshoots, and created social media and website content. In addition to Crowns, Alex has also been an active member of Product Design and Development Collaborative (PDDC), a multidisciplinary team working to solve problems through product creation. Alex works hard in and outside of the classroom earning Dean's List and landing 2 co-ops in addition to other personal projects. Alex is a strong believer that diversity strengthens creativity and drives innovation. We can't wait to see what else Alex can accomplish with Crowns during 2019-2020.

Kimberly Mclean

Serving as this year's secretary for the Crowns Executive-Board is Kimberly McLean. Kimberly is a sophomore at Wentworth Institute of Technology, obtaining a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Business. Kimberly is from Boston, Massachusetts, and is a commuting student. Within Crowns, she looks forward to helping to uplift the female community at the Colleges of the Fenway, and in STEM fields in particular. Her passions for female empowerment and diversity can be reflected by her desire to support, aid, and encourage, as a member of the Crowns community. We are ecstatic to have Kimberly as this year's secretary and look forward to an amazing year with the 2019-2020 Executive and Advisory Board.
